Just sat thinking about my days as an economics student at NTU and thinking about the wonderful Phil Quinn and what a lovely chap he was. After searching the internet I was so sad to find out that he’s passed away. The world’s a worse place without him in it
the beauty of a fat prop is that without one others cannot perform, they only realise your worth when you do not turn . you always turned up dishevelved and with a stupid grin driving a little red car ( did you know it had a fourth gear ) . Never judge a book by its cover ….remarkable athlete and a top bloke ….have a beer on me big man .
you had him had same tailor at times , no doubt the two of you will form a third xv and rope in similar minded individuals , and deliver hamians style and attitude to all who you force to listen ,rest easy big man
You were a great bloke and colleague Phil - I will always have positive memories of your warmth, humour and willingness to share the load! RIP
Phil, what a fantastic guy. A great source of info and compassion. Always had time for everyone. A fabulous teacher both of academics and in living life. Will be missed
